NEW YORK HEAVEN

I hope that heaven
Is a lot like New York
With concerts, museums
Theatre and dance

Where everyone
Lives in a penthouse
With a view
Of the South of France

And your North windows
Look out on Central Park
And Hawaii
Is two blocks West

And all the places
Where you might want to be
Are just two stops away
On the I.R.T.

And everything's perfect
But it doesn't seem odd
Cause the crazy thing is
You're always . . . with God

   SONG OF AMERICA

Sing me a song of America
Sing you I implore
Sing me a song of America
That's never been sung before

Sing of American cities
With music of foreign lands
Where home and dreams are realized
And strangers lend forth their hands

Sing of  nature cherished
The bounty of earth that's ours
Of thanksgiving prayers to heaven
For Godly governed powers

Sing of those who died for us
To ransom freedom for all
Welcome our enemies' children
To heed democracy's call

Sing me a song of America
And let me sing along
Sing everything that's good and right
And teach every child the song

Sing me a song of America
That's never been sung before
O, sing me a song of America
Of America evermore

   MARRIAGE of the HEART

I'll take thy heart to breast to mine
And love thee with the best of mine

Till they yet two beat one in time
And true be one beyond our time

     HOME

Home is a place
Home is a memory
Home is the past
Home is eternity

For loved ones departed
And those far apart
Home is a place
To live in our heart

    URBAN HUSBAND

Her husband rides a bike, tra-la
So she doesn't have to go, ha-ha
Take library books back
When they're due
Or  DVDs
When viewing's through
So, city girls
Some advice for you
Marry the man whomever you like
But get you a husband
Who rides a bike

  FANTASTIC BEAST

Hi
I'm New York City
The Fantastic Beast
I eat people
The ones who love me
Taste the best
The ones who hate me
Sometimes escape
But, I'll maybe eat their children
Someday
I hope you like poetry
That makes you more delicious
Well
Have a nice day

AUNTS IN YOUR PANTS

O, cosmic chance
Quaint circumstance
To  find my Aunt's
Wearing my pants

They did enhance
Her fashion stance

But what askance
Her countenance
When I blurted out
"You're wearing my pants"

Alas, dear nephews
Plan in advance
When visiting aunts
Take extra pants

And if perchance
She wears your pants

Pretend not to notice
